Proos' 104-year story continues with strategic west Michigan acquisition

Grand Rapids, Mich. – Proos Manufacturing, a leading provider of material handling solutions, proudly announces its latest milestone in its 104-year history as it joins a conglomerate of metal manufacturers. The acquisition of Proos was finalized on October 13th, 2023 by a private investment group, and now shares ownership with MS Metal Solutions, Great Lakes Metal Stamping and three other esteemed regional manufacturers. This strategic partnership reinforces Proos’ dedication to innovation and enhances its capacity to cater to a rapidly growing and diverse customer base across various industries.

The group of metal manufacturing companies spanning Michigan and Alabama introduces a wide range of additional capabilities to the Proos team, amplifying existing expertise and enriching offerings with expanded manufacturing and service capacity. The industries served among the new group have broadened from material handling and contract manufacturing to encompass consumer and commercial products, store fixturing, appliance, automotive and more.

Proos’ end-to-end services are further strengthened with the integration of a network of advanced manufacturing capabilities including automated tube laser cutting, tube bending, progressive stamping, robotic welding, panel bending, and more. Proos customers can anticipate an immediate increase in project capacity as a result of enhanced processing capabilities.
